FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…..

Keyhole Gallery Group hosts benefit for McLean County AIDS Task Force

Keyhole Gallery Group will host an Art Show benefit for the McLean County AIDS Task Force April 1 from 4 to 8 p.m., at 313 N. Main St, Bloomington. The group is a collaborative of photographers whose focus is on the artful nude. All proceeds from the sale of art during the evening will be donated to the 17-year-old, all-volunteer service organization. MCATF lost all of its State funding this last year. The organization offers education and  offers support against the spread of HIV/AIDS in McLean County.

The Keyhole Gallery Group show is part of a larger area artists’ showcase sponsored by the Downtown Bloomington Association for the April First Friday event that will feature over 140 artists in 20 plus locations downtown Bloomington.

Working Together At The Studio:

Part of the journey we all shared at this event was patiently finding the space  for our own personal expression, creating an in house studio, dealing with camera issues, and being naked in front of /and/ or with folks we barely knew.

I felt part of the sharing that had to occur in this post was the behind the scene view as we created our replication project

Photographer :: Ronald Frazier

Ronald Douglas Frazier

Local self-taught photographer.

Has been working exclusively with digital photography for 10 years and 35mm in mostly black and white prior to that. Winner of several photography awards in the past at McLean County Amateur Art shows.  Exhibited 3 times at the Sugar Creek Art Fair in Normal, IL.  For 6 years was a regular at the Bloomington Farmer’s Market Artist’s Alley. Is currently showing a rotation of work at Main Gallery 404 in downtown Bloomington.  A notable theme in a varied body of work is a singular take on Midwestern imagery.  Frequent trips to Venice, Italy inspire intimate looks that only the locals see, and a passion for the garden provides lush flower photos in rich colors.  A blog and a new direction in photography has led to exploration and self-discovery of the ‘Artful Nude’  with Keyhole Gallery group.  Interesting work expected for this maturing photographer and his camera.
